Wendy Huang studied at East China University of Politics and Law from 1995 to 2001, where she obtained her Bachelor of Laws in 1999 and Master of Laws in 2002. She furthered her studies in the UK and obtained a Master of Laws degree from the University of Warwick in 2002, specializing in international economic law. She passed the National Lawyer's Qualification Exam in 2000.

Prior to joining I-LAND Law, Wendy Huang worked with Boss & Young, Attorneys at Law and Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, Shanghai Office and All-Bright law Offices. From June 2007 to June 2008, Wendy was selected by the Ministry of Justice of the UK and the Ministry of Justice of the PRC to participate in the Lord Chancellor’s Training Scheme for Young Chinese Lawyers. Under the training scheme, she was trained at Mills-Reeve in Cambridge, Stone Chambers in London, and Tanner De Witt in Hong Kong.

Wendy specializes in foreign investment, international mergers and acquisitions, education investment, and employment laws. She has extensive experience in assisting foreign investors in the establishment, operation, and liquidation of foreign invested enterprises. She has represented a number of multinational companies in M&A, drafting legal due diligence, preparing documentation, and assisting clients in negotiations. Wendy also has been counsel for multinational companies on various corporate issues, including advising and drafting of all employment, distribution, purchase, and loan agreements. In recent years, Wendy has assisted a number of foreign-invested enterprises with their labor disputes and represented them in litigation with satisfactory results.
